Default SLP CME Valance Fitment Issue

I have some problems with the fitment of my slp valance. had it painted and installed at the stealership. they messed with it for a few hours, and this is the best they could get it.

would like to get rid of the gaps on the front of both sides.

any ideas?

thanks
tony

take it back to the dealership if you payed them to put it on. looks like they need to clean up the ends a bit and redo that screw that looks way to low.

That looks really odd... If anything the valance should be a little long on each side (that's how it came from SLP and that's how we molded ours) not a little short.

You shouldn't even have screws there. It should use just the factory body pins that are on the bumper.

I wouldn't replace it, doesn't look that bad...

I think if you took it back off and had it mounted a little higher it would fit better.

Yeah, take it back to the shop and have them refit it. Are these the SLP valance? or the 6le version? Im getting mine installed in a few days, i hope it turns out ok. GL

I am 99% sure it is not a 6LE valance (at least not a current one, from like July+) as we have more material on the valance ends...

i bought an aftermarket one, but not the 6le one, it was the people who sold them before him and no not slp, but anyways mine looks like **** compared to that one. i would be happy if mine fit like yours, but i still understand what your saying.

Best side picture I have, I dont think that is an SLP valence, because it is thicker than mine, unless SLP had 2 different molds or something.

Here is where it it supposed to be attatched, not with a screw like they did on yours.

I bet they put it way to high at the center of the rear bumper, move it lower and the ends will move up and have enough length to fit properly.

Get pictures of the whole valance please.

mine is an slp, bought it used.

wish i would have waited till 6liter got his done.

mine also bolts up from the bottom of the valance. i think the dealer put the screw in to try and hold the front up to the bumper.
took it back and twice and got told to basically pound salt and since i didn't buy the part from them, they didn't have to make it fit perfect.

typical dealer.

the fit is definitely annoying. and i want to get 6liter rear splash guards, but i'm afriad they won't fit right because of the valance problem.

The splash guards have some play in how you mount them so it wouldn't be a problem...
