putting mustang rims on camaro/bird
for example.. 18x9 Bullitt rims off a mustang .(look like torque thrust ii's)..
after u put the ford to chevy wheel adapter on.. would it cause the rims to stick out too far?
just something i've always wondered.
same thing with the old fox mustangs. if i bought the 4lug to 5lug adapters (like ebay has)...then put 18x9 Bullitts on it .. would they stick out too far cuz of the adapter?

just because this is more geared towards how/if this set up will work, as opposed to appearance, i think you'd get better answers if you posted in the correct section....
as for putting mustang rims on an f-body, i dont really see the big deal. they're rims. if they're nice, they're nice.

I don't think it would be worth the effort unless you had your heart set on a specific wheel and nothing thats already available will cure your appetite. Or unless you had a set laying around somewhere that weren't being used & were needed. I would suggest upgrading your studs if your going to use an adapter or spacer.

just because you can get a mustang with them does not mean they are mustang wheels, ar makes the same one in a bunch of different patterns. as for buying adapters to put actual mustang wheels on a f-body thats just dumb.

For me, as long as it looks good, who gives a $#!7 what vehicle it was originally on.
Old school hot rodders have been doing it for YEARS!!! Any cool Deuce Coupe you see (a Ford) will probably have a 350 Chevy motor. Get into the Rat Rod scene and God only knows how many different makes and models of car parts went into creating any given car but in the end it looks cool...
HOWEVER, if it doesn't look cool :cough:BirdstyleramaironCamaros:cough: then, well, it isn't cool.
