Default G8 Concept style Arrowhead

We need some of our Sponsors (EmblemPros or 6LITEREATER) to work on a G8 Concept style Arrowhead like this: No simple Vinyl inlay but a colored resin or acrylic of some sort, like the current GTO and G8 arrowheads.

Im interested, as long as different colored inlays would be available. I want one that would fit on the taillight panel over the keyhole.

I think you can get them through Fast Toys.

They are not listed, but shoot Phil an email.

You can't get the G8 concept style arrowhead from the dealer it was never made. But, I have an arrowhead from an 05 GTO on my car right now. GM parts direct has them for $84.04 right now.

My dad posted above me, he is misinformed about what he is looking at with this concept piece. The G8 style concept was never produced by GM. But, you can get a really nice arrowhead from a 05-09 G6 for $33.50. We could make the concept piece, but we think the GM alternatives are much better for your dollar.

Here it is (I am using another person's picture here for reference):

We are thinking about selling these ourselves. No doubt, the nicest arrowhead badge I have seen.

You can get it from online dealers for a great price.

How close can you get to that style doing the G8 concept piece? Also, how much bigger are the ones from a G6 than one from a G8 or GTO?

You can also snag the rear arrowhead from a G8 for $59, but the G6 is a better deal.

Not sure on the exact size difference, but you can see them almost everytime you go out to a shopping district. Just keep your eyes peeled to get a firsthand view - it's better than anyone could ever explain it. Seeing is believing.

As far as reproducing the concept badge to the GM standards found on their own manufactured arrowheads, it would be really difficult to duplicate it to those standards and still be able to keep costs down.

refer to my quick and crappy drawing above for my reasoning...

1 - It would be difficult to recreate the sharp ridges shown in green with the degree of "crispness" that GM does. Look at the above GM G6 arrowhead and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

2 - GM's factory inlays on their emblems are amazing. The WS6 emblem is a living testament to that. This emblem is the same way. Again, go look at the G6 emblem above and compare it to a vinyl, or painted inlay. There is simply no comparison.

So, for the money, an OEM arrowhead can't be beat for quality and price. I do know how to make the GM style inlays and I could make the frame as well, but I would have to make it to at least GM standards or I wouldn't bother.

Can I make the G8 arrowhead? Absolutely. Believe me, we have access to the necessary machinery whenever we want it. I also know how to get the resin insert to look good, but the process goes another step. It then requires melting and pouring and curing of the resin.

I'll see what I can do to get these made to our standards and if I can do it cost effective and cost marketable, I will make them. Right now, that's all I can say.

I think the OP wants this emblem.

Pretty sure Fast Toys can get them.

As for the G6 factory part, that is what I have. Not a closeup, but you get the idea.

Haha, my first reaction too, that stinks man - hope it's just the angle of the photo, but I don't think it is...

The G6 emblem is really nice looking and a good option though IMHO.
