Default Headlight Rubber Seal?????

ok i picked up a extra set of head lights to do the whistler mod to and clean them up. well i got the painted and put back together and cleaned the clear lens because it was kinda hazy.

Now my questions, is the a way to order a set of the black rubber seals on the out side of our head lights. The ones that came off of the lights are in rough shape so i would like to buy some new ones since the rest of the headlight looks brand new!!!

I tried to seach and cant come up with anything or find part numbers???

Someone on here used a different type of weatherstripping and it came out looking pretty decent.

You can't buy them separately. I WISH a company would produce only the lenses with the rubber seals in order to avoid buying the entire housing... I would buy multiple sets...

I just bought a roll of weatherstripping from my local hardware store (OSH). You can see the roll in the background in the 1st pic. Measured it around the headlights, since I had to cut each side in 3rds (next time, I'll be able to do in 2 pieces per side). It's tricky to get them to bend at the edges without creasing or "popping" off of the headlight.

Can you let us know what diameter or width of stripping you used. My aftermarket ones went to crap also from dry rot but the lenses look great after I had them tinted and clearcoated. Not wanting to go through that again, plus weatherstripping is WAY cheaper...

The width is about 3/4", but don't remember how long it came with; was all coiled up in the package.

Tubular, that run side by side. Just be careful at the edges otherwise the rubber will crease.
