anyone done this or have pics of someone who did?

I am talking about the kind that ususally come in suvs like the tahoe etc. I am thinking of adding one to my car but I want to see how it would look.

i think i have seen one on here before. for what purpose do you want one? i have one in my blazer and i dont do **** with it. has my compass and temp on it, thats all i use. i think it would look out of place and tacky in an fbody.

Are you talking about on that's like 8-10 inches long or 2 ft long

probably the shorter one as I don't think the longer one would work. Reason for it? thinking of doing a custom mount radar detector that I can push up into the headliner console when not wanting it to be seen.

Also thinking of relocating the HVAC controls to it to do a custom console.

I know the zr2 blazers that came with a sunroof have a nice short console with the readouts, and at least one cubby hole in there. doesnt stick into the cab too far.

I would recommend against it unless you have an aftermarket ABS headliner. The fiberglass is pretty weak and soft if you plan on drilling into it to hold any weight for long.
