Default Anyone ever make their own black billet grill with SS emblem?

Anyone ever do this. I know that 6literdesigns makes one or use to but I didn't really want to spend 175 for a grill. I figured I could do it myself. Write up??

write up:

step 1: go on ebay

step 2: buy a grill from ebay- you choose the color. if you want black, for a more durable finish, buy one, and have it powdercoated black. longer lasting finish than the black painted ones

step 3: get back on ebay, and buy a 67-69 or late 70's SS emblem. or for a bowtie, pick up a 69 chevelle (i think) emblem -leave it blue, or paint/powdercoat the color of your choice

step 4: mount bowtie emblem to grill

step 5: mount grill to car

step 6: sit back and admire your new look

step 7: get camera, take pics, and post up on LS1tech

The difference is probably in shipping. The 70 dollar one most likely has free shipping and the 17 dollar one most likely has a shipping of 50 bucks or so. I ordered a black billet grill for my old z on ebay a while back. You could probably contact one of the sellers and see if they have them in black.
