Well, my car got egged yesterday :(
Upon seeing my car yesterday morning (approx. 11 am) I noticed it had an egg directly on the roof (behing the ttops, but in front of the rear window) which ran down over the rear window a little. It was sunny and hot and I could tell that I had to make a quick trip to the car wash The bad thing about this was that I just had the car cut and polished by a buddy of mine and had yet to put on a good coat of wax. I live in an apartment building complex and I park where I can't see my ride out the window (fixed this by switching spots with another tenant, thank god ) .
I managed to get most of it off *(except a small penny sized dull area that is barely visible) and so I completely waxed the car. Will the wax help protect my finish if this ***hole decides to do this again?

Well I hope it doesn't resort to that. I can view it from my window now, and I am hoping this is a random egging as opposed to someone just out to get me lol. I am hoping that a good coat of wax will keep the paint a little more protected than before?

A good coat of wax will help. My car got egged in high school, and it sucks to clean up. They hit it with around 7-8 eggs and some got the insides of my car, it was a pita to clean up.

Yeah I guess anything that stands out in the least is a target. It'd be so great to catch someone in the act, but better if they just left my **** alone. Might throw a second coat on today...as long as they don't turn to keying that is

I feel for ya man. I've been in my apt for about 18 months and my car has been vandalized 4 times. Egged, Flower Bombed, someone tried to siphon gas out of it, and finally someone actually got the drivers door open by sliding the door lock. Thankfully the instant alarm scared them off. Again, thankfully, I'll only have to put up with this for another 7 days until I get into my newly purchased house.
Sadly I don't think there's really much you can do short of doing everything you can to prevent someone from stealing the car if it comes to that.
And as much as it pains you to, IMO, it might help to keep the car dirty. It might just be a coincidence but my car was freshly detailed every time something happened to it. If it looks like you don't care about, hopefully no one else will either.
And try to get the f' out of apartments as quickly as possible.

You know he's gonna guess who did that.
I predict this could end really badly for you.

Unfortunately, yes I agree. Never throw stones in glass houses, especially when that house is yours! People used to do that all the time, take up two spots, but these days it's not a good idea. I still feel for you though man, but brace yourself now.
