Default CETA done!

Well I did the CETA mod on the trans am this past weekend. Was not too hard and i enjoyed myself (paint fumes maybe? lol) I went with semi gloss duplicolor and used primer. Did three coats and will probably go back with another for some touch ups. I am definitely loving the look of her *** now! Soon to come in the next month or so: 3rd LED tail, 20% tint all around, interior red LEDs

Man I love the Ceta look. There's this one real Ceta that I see around alot that they never wash, such a shame.

Thanks guys. I think it really livens up the rear. I will definitely post pics of her transformation. Her *** will be even sexier within a few weeks!

I've always thought red T/A's with black ceta's and dark blackbird stripes look unreal. <<Add those next...

dude i think you hit that dead on... i love the contrast of your super glossy tail lights>glossy paint>semi gloss CETA. have you considered getting inserts for the "pontiac" lettering on the bumper? since you have red "trans am" lettering on a black field, i think black "pontiac" lettering on a red field would balance nicely... just a thought, congrats on a job well done

I need to get around to performing the ceta mod myself. Looks good in that semi-gloss finish. Did you pull off the bumper or just taped it off? On the other hand I'm not feeling the blacked out sail panel.

IMHO I wouldn't put on the black Pontiac inlays. Looks cleaner without them.

Thanks I just jacked her up and taped it off. I really did not want to deal with the whole process of taking it off then putting back on...it just looked like too much work for my lazy ***! If you jack it up a decent height and maneuver yourself to get everything coated evenly it works great.

I am kind of partial to the look with them on..at least on my red bird!

Thanks. I just did a search. There is more than one thread with step by step instructions. Basically lift, wash, sand, wash, tape, primer, sand, wash, paint. I did three coats and will probably be going back sometime to do some touchups.

Great CETA job!! It's really not that hard to do, a lot of people are hesitant to sand down their pant and use a rattle-can on it. But it's simple and turns out great! I love seeing another red T/A with the ceta
