why would one tail light be darker

there are some 'bird tails that are a darker shade of red than the others (think burgundy vs red, then take away some contrast)
no clue if its a year split or not. Wouldnt effect the actual housing color.
Does it look like the lens was pulled off and the back part painted?

I actually had the same problem with my car. However, at first, I assumed it was the bulb housings or something since they were very corroded. I ended up replacing all of the housings with new ones from AutoZone and it ended up working perfectly afterward. More than likely, it is from the water damaged lens, though. Just sharing what fixed mine haha.

if you're very careful you can separate it by putting it in the oven or using a heat gun, spraying the inside with silver/chrome spray paint, and resealing it with RTV silicon. worked decently for mine.

if im gonna screw the other one up bye cleaning and painting might as well trade the ggod one out for another one thats doing the same thing (if the water is the cause of it )is athens bye cullman man i think i have work there b/f cant remimber im all over alabama im in toothaloosa i mean tuscalooser im mean screw it t town lol(war eagle) now
