Yep, finally got the car back today from the shop, so we got right onto getting my decals from AfterthoughtsAuto.com put on the car. All I gotta say is WOW. Of course your opinions may vary, but I just gotta say that whether I'm biased toward my car or not, it looks SAWEEEEET now. Well, I'll not go into it too much, if you wanna see just go here. Looks great. Those are the best chrome grills I've seen too. The small decal on the wing might be a bit much though. Otherwise, great ride. I love the hood. I have heard both googd and bad things about Suncoast Creations hoods. What is your experience so far with build quality fit/finish, etc? How much was the hood and painting?

Alot of people mistake the SLP hood for the raptor hood. Definitely not the same animal.. Car looks good at any rate.

I thought it looked different, but I wasnt sure. I prefer the Raptor hood over the SLP Ram Air H.O. hood. They are both great looking hoods though.

That hood looks cool, but it isnt the "Raptor" hood from Suncoast...or at least it doesnt look anything like the pics on their website! The Raptor is the Firehawk knock-off w/o the heat extractors. Here it is from Suncoast Website...

Yeah, you're all right, it is the Ram-Air hood from SLP, the "Ram-Air H.O.". Sorry about the confusion, I guess I just like callin it the Raptor hood cuz it's better than "Ram-Air H.O." Same design, yada yada, just no option for heat extractors. But yeah, once again sorry. Anyway, about the other questions, the fitament WAS a bitch. It took 20 hours of labor to fit/finish/paint. Talk about a big PITA. Thing is I got the hook up and only had to pay $400 for everything, alot better than close to $1000 in just labor <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> But no, I absolutely love the looks too. I'm trying not to get into the habit of calling it THE Raptor hood, but isn't it the same just to call it "a Raptor hood"??? Oh well, who cares <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Nah thats not the Raptor hood UNLESS SCC has a newer style of Raptor hood. The nostrils are closer to he front and more rounded off than that hood.

I guess the grills threw me off and the fact that the owner called it a raptor.

That hood looks huge. Do you know if its made out of fiber glass? And do you have any pics of the underside?

Ouch... but yeah, yes, the hood is fiberglass. I believe it's relatively close to the same weight as the stock hood. Anywho, thanks again for all the replies.
