Black cars?
Does anyone regret buying a black f-body? They look great but, I know how hard they could be to take care of. My brother has a 1998 Z-28 but, his car has been painted so, its different then a casr with factory paint. So, is it a pain? What about that Zaino? wax? Does it help.
Any opinions would help!
Thanks!

Re: Black cars?
I've bought 3 black 4th gens, I've loved every one and regretted every one. This is the last black car in my life... ever.
They are beautiful, but they are dirty 4.5 minutes after you wash it.
Dave
If I could do this 3 one over again, I would have gotten pewter.

Awesome color and mirror-like reflective qualities - WHEN IT'S CLEAN!! Looks like a jewel when it's clean. Looks downright horrible when dirty - which, as has already been stated, is 4.5 minutes after your done cleaning it. No lie there! This is my first black car and it is definately my last - even though it's badness when polished. Good Luck! I'd go with red.

I've had great results with the car cover. I use it as often as I can, and that along with a california duster and some Z6 and I can go for weeks without washing and it looks great. All bets are off of course if you get caught in the rain.

Re: Black cars?
Just got a 02 SS in black my first black car. While it is looks great when clean, I wash it twice a week to keep it that way.
I use Zymol on it which works great and leaves a outstanding shine.
Good luck

Re: Black cars?
If I had to do it all over again I would have got white. I absolutely love that color with the black top(silver would be my 2nd choice). Much easier to keep clean as well as hiding imperfections. And there not common colors either.
Don't get me wrong, my black Camaro looks downright jaw-dropping(15 coats of Zaino will do that) but it is really hard trying to keep it perfect(even as a non-daily driver). No matter how hard you try, everything keeps showing up.

Black is the sweetest when clean, thats why i keep mine perfect all the time lots of work but well worth it when the beautiful girls line up to ride and it also turns heads quick
