Default Another 01SOMSS! detail- 3rd gen Paint correction. Meg 105/205

I detailed Shawns 3rd gen today. took about 9 hrs to do a full paint correction on it. the car showed up in really bad shape as you can see from the pics. it had tons and tons of swirls and lil scratches.

Process-
Wash,
cleayed,
Pc/ Meg 105 yellow pad
Pc/Meg 205 yellow pad
Mothers step 2 sealer/glaze
Maeguiars Nxt 2.0 tech Wax blk Pad

Got the car all washed up

Clayed

And after Jason's help and some Meg 105/205 we got this.

test spot- no sealer or wax

this is amazing. we got about 98% of th imperfections out.

i finished around 6:30pm so We're going to have to do a daytime photoshoot.

WOW you did a great job man. How much does a paint correction like that typically cost? My 93 sure could use it.

Is the owner of the car in the Military? And great work on her. I like the stripes with the flames. Not much on flames painted on the car but those look good.

Looks tons better.

Just curious, why not step down in pad to more of a polishing pad vs cutting?? Also the paint looks like it would benefit from a Wetsand.

Not sure what brand pad your using but if it was persay a Lake Country, Black is for applying polish. A "White" is considered something between the correction (orange/yellow) and then applying pad (red/Black).

That combo will make up about 95% of your buffing jobs. For single stage paints or paints that are "dried" out, you want Megs 80 and 83 combo.
