Tough choice now after LS1 SS front clip swap. SS badges or Z28 badges?
Minus the car having an identity crisis with looking like a LS1 car with a LT1 engine. Now I need to decide on what to call it.
It looks like a SS right now...
Even went with the LS1 SS spoiler...
So if I put Z/28 emblems on the car, it wouldnt look right, but if I put SS emblems on the car, its not an SS. What to do? Thoughts?

I'd put SS badges on it! That's what I'm going to do of I ever complete my swap. Its already got ls1 clip and ss hood and spoiler when it was originally a 94z. Just go all the way!
Car looks beautiful man! Hope to get mine there someday!

just prepare for some mean looks if you badge it an ss
i have a 2002 Z and i have the ss hood and ss spoiler and i'm still badged as a z28. a lot of people leave their Z's badged even after changing appearance more to an SS so its not like it "wouldn't look right"
very nice car though!

If it's not an SS, then don't put SS badges on it. Shouldn't be a tough decision, even if it looks like an SS.
P.S. You think YOUR car has an identity crisis? At least it's one of two things... Try mine... lol.
1999 V6 Firebird from the factory, badged as a V6 (side badges say Firebird), with V6 bumpers/sideskirts
Trans Am hatch/spoiler
Firehawk-like hood (Suncoast Raptor)
Firehawk wheels
2001 Camaro SS motor
Even though it has a V8 now and at least the same amount of aftermarket equipment as a Firehawk, I'm not going to badge it as a Formula, or a Trans Am, or a Firehawk. Ever. Of course, I'll still call it a V6 in my sig to mess with people, since only a few understand what "V6 Firebird w/L36 delete" means.

Whats so wrong with the title Z28 ? Unless you really just like those 2 little s's . I would actually leave no badges on the side, its tacky imo . Fill and smooth the camaro letters in on the rear valance panel . Then either a) buy a classic z/28 badge orrrrr Call emblem pro's and have them make you a Z/28 badge in the classic style with a small twist . The original Z letters used red and white paint . Have the red portion of the Z made 3d like , like the OEM WS6 badge is with the honeycomb pattern in the red . And carry over the same pattern to the white 28 . Then put the Z/28 badge in the center of the valance . Its been done before , but it looks really good ....jmo.
When the the 2012 Z28 all the followers will be sticking Z28 badges on their SS's , lol

I disagree. I think you can do whatever the **** you want, but if that was my car I would either go badgeless or smooth the berger panel and put an old school z28 emblem in the middle.

I may just run badgeless then. I ran the 69 emblems on my previous paint job along with the filled in rear taillight panel with the emblem in the middle. I have a gunmetal hockey stripe that Ive been on the fence about using or selling the kit. I think all black looks nice.
