Question on sanding the intake
I know the write up on how to paint your intake says you need to sand the intake first, but does the amount of sanding they suggest you do smooth the intake down so when it's painted it gives it that really smooth look?

1, give it some time before getting disgruntled that no one replied...some work during the day.
2, search seriously works on the boards here... TONS of us have sanded our intakes.
3, try 80-100 grit first, move on to 150-200 grit, followed by about 300-360 grit and clean between each step well. Paint adhesion promoter is a fantastic prep agent. Spray very light coats allowing some flash between. Don't be surprised if you're looking at 8-10 light coats before you're happy with the coverage. Clear coating afterwards is recommended.
