the car is going to the body shop this week because of a deer and they are going to replace the hood.....should i get the Ultra Z or get a SS hood back....the car is a SS so im kinda leaning towards that but i like the looks of the Z hood....what would you guys think? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I've never been a fan of the ultra z hood so I'm gonna say stick with the ss. Either that or a 2 or 2 1/2 inch cowl. 4" looks a little too square to me.

i like the looks of the Ultra-Z hood, it makes the car look a little meaner IMO. and i think that it is a little more functional than the ss hood. just my 2 cents. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Well, pics are in my sig. The Ultra-Z hood is a lot more functional than the SS hood. Also, you can buy the WS6 style lower air box which will let it breathe more air.

I would say stick with the SS hood if you want to remain authentic, otherwise go with the Ultra Z hood. I like it better then the SS hood and plan to get it one of these days for my Z. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I'd tend to stick with the factory SS hood. If I had a z, the Ultra Z would be my first choice. All the others just don't look quite right to me.

No offense but the Camaro with the WS6 style scoops really looks like ****!I agree, if you wanted a WS6 buy one. Thats only my opinion, if you like it, then by all means get it. I haven't decided on what hood to get for my 98 Z28. I am thinking either a Ultra Z hood or a VFN 2.5 inch cowl if they make it. I would love to get a SS hood but I don't think the hood and spoiler would look ok with 16 inch Z rims. I am not to keen on the idea of making a SS clone out of it. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

if its not REALLY an SS...get the ultra Z

I like the ultra z better but there is something to having a "real" SS. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Don't destroy that.

Its a real SS....i think im going to the Ultra Z hood and just fix the minor mess ups in the SS hood..that way have both <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
