Front License Plate Bracket
Anyone have an idea for a front license plate bracket? I have to put one on my 2001 SS and it covers my SS grille... this isn't going to work.. I was thinking take the grille out and drill holes in the bottom and create L-brackets so the plate hangs off the bottom of the car right below the SS but this might look stupid.. anywhere else it either covers up a light or is basically just under the car.. All feedback is welcome..

Know anyone that actually has this? Cause it looks like no matter what it's going to cover up my SS grille :/ Thanks though im definetly book marking this. It's cheaper and better looking than the one GM wanted to sell me..

Have you been yelled at by the fuzz yet? I've been w/out my front plate for 5 years or so and haven't had a problem. Neither has my buddy w/ his SS (SLP Grill). I say just run w/out one. If you ever get pulled over just kindly ask the cop where you're supposed to mount a plate on a vehicle w/ no mounting location; and that you're not drilling holes in a $300 grill.
and yes, Ohio plate laws do indeed suck...

the brand Altec model 400eu.
you will see that they might be listed for c6,chargers, mustangs, etc.
they are all the same one. they are universal and will fit on any car.
if you dont want to spend that much you can get the manual one for about 55 shipped.

I hot pulled over twice .. Went to oreilleys bought a bracket for like$3.99 , bent it to fit my front bumper.. Two months later took it off and said to hell with it ... It's been over 4 yrs now and I have gotten pulled over twice , but every time I just tell them my bracket got stolen...and they let me go...

Ill wait until I get pulled over for it... hopefully I get a warning though. If the ticket runs me around $150 dollars as i expect ill just get the motorized one... It protects my grille and if i ever go to sell the car.. it's just one of those little things that gives your vehicle the extra eye candy. Thanks all for your suggestions and feedback.
