I have been searching all afternoon with no luck. Is there a write up or template somewhere?
Thanks!

What I did was use some wax paper, traced the stock fuel line cutout, figured out where the new cutout would need to be (by measuring the distance from fuel line center to fuel line center), low-tack-spray-glued the back side of the wax paper, stuck it to the cover, very carefully dremeled it out using the traced line as a guide, then removed the wax paper when the rough shape was cut out, and took a little more time fine-tuning the look. The rest I cut by test fitting and seeing what was in the way and what wasn't. On my car, that was the oil dipstick tube, and the throttle cable bracket. I still have AIR, and just bent/moved the AIR provisions to clear the covers. No EGR.

It's not perfect, but it's damn close.

Believe it or not, when I cut them, these covers had been spraypainted red with a grey primer coat, and I soaked it in Super Clean Degreaser to strip the spraypaint off, then washed that stuff off, and sprayed on some CD2 Engine Detailer and let that soak for a while. Factory red Corvette lettering was still on there after stripping the spraypaint off.

It sounds like you started out with the 99+ corvette ones that only had one fuel line cut out. I plan to start with the 98 ones that already have 2 cut outs.

Im wondering what else needs to be cut so it will fit just to get an idea of how much of a pain in the *** it will be.

Thanks for the pics and info!

That's really all that you need to do, especially if you don't have AIR/EGR. If you have EGR then you may have to cut a little more from the front of the passenger side cover.

Important things to trim for:
Oil dipstick
Throttle cable bracket

And that's pretty much it. You can avoid having to trim other parts of it by loosening any AIR provisions and unclipping and shifting the wiring harnesses down off the fuel rail.

So whats all these threads talking about people taking 5 hours to make these fit correctly? Thats really all you need to do?!

Now I'm extra curious...
