Sun Damaged Stock Steering Wheel
Does anybody make a cover or wrap for the stock steering wheel on a 2000 Camaro? Mine has gotten damaged by too much exposure to the sun and it is getting pitted on the top of the wheel where the plastic is breaking down.

Yes, there are plenty of choices in any Pep Boys, Auto Zone etc. I don't want a one size fits all generic Harley Davidson or Hello Kitty slip on cover. I want a good quality fit actually made for our cars. Grant has covers that fit S10 and full size trucks but nothing for our cars. I was hoping someone heard of something or knew of a good quality solution. Thanks for the input though. I'm being fussy is all.

I've used these twice and they work great
go to a sporting goods store and get the tennis racket handle wrap - wrap your entire steering wheel rim before putting the leather cover on it. Your wheel will feel about twice as thick as it does now and will look much better. Oh, make sure you get the cover made for the thicker rims - ones ending with 'B'

I still have not gotten around to it, but I am pulling mine of and wrapping it with leather. I watched some youtube vids on wrapping steering wheels/stitching, and went to tandy leather and picked out a nice black hide.
I think this is the closest your going to get to looking stock or better.
