Default Does anyone know how to get this effect with Aluminum??

Its crazy looking... Its not a brushed aluminum, its not polished, and its not machined finish..

anyone know how to get this effect?

When you polish things you get that chrome mirror effect, this look has ZERO reflection... Almost like a high gloss polish with a really flat clear over the top of it or something? or some kind of powdercoat?

Anyone know how they do this?

Eastwood Company carries a clearcoat for aluminum that will give you that look...

I can't tell without more pics, but that might be straight sheet metal stock simply pressed into shape with no other surface finish techniques.

honestly it looks like polished, yet not full polished. Like if you were to put neverdull on unpolished metal, it'll have that sheen, yet not a mirror reflection.

Its clear anodized most likely. Most bikes with aluminum frames and such like that are anodized.

Eastwood clear WILL turn yellow no matter what they claim (or how much they charge)

Aprilia arent most bikes here guys. personally owning one I am not so sure it is anodizing. If you get a chance to look at one of these bikes you will see that the somewhat shiny aluminum parts are directly welded to the other. That is their newest model the RSV4, but the aluminum like this can be seen on their bikes dating back to the 2000 model year in the US and 1998 in Europe.

Do know that most owners know that if they scratch those parts of the frame or swingarm that your never going to get it back looking like OP's posted pics, or stock.

Sorry for not really helping the OP but it is great looking aluminum.

Eastwood Diamond Clear gloss is what I use to use on Aluminum grills I made for S10's. I got that look by putting a white 3M scouring pad on a DA and put some Mothers Aluminum polish on it, that's what gave it the satin polish look, the clearcoat was put on them to keep me from having to buff them out again later... BTW thanks for the compliments!
