Default Faded Interior Plastic Pieces?

The plastic interior pieces on my vert are all faded and gray in some over exposed areas (you know, typical sunny weather in Hawaii. My top is hardly ever up). Any suggestions on how to restore or modify them? Shoe polish? re-painting? Leather/vinyl wrap?

Duplicolor has some kick-*** paints for plastics..if your planning on painting all of them. Not sure of all the color options, but you can get close to original...

ive used epoxy paints in a rattle can, and SEM plastic dye/spray paint recently and seems to work well. might want to clear some of the more commonly used areas of the pieces. it'd be a good time if you wanted to change color or accent anything.

black but you get the idea... any vapa/vatozone paint store should be able to mix, and dont forget adhesion promoter

+1 on the SEM dye! I converted my charcoal to ebony and no one would guess. It has been over a year and it is holding up well. I chose the dye to match and then sprayed a SEM satin clear over it o tone the shine down a bit. I have not tried the Duplicolor version.

I phoned Classic Industries, and they say the GM Ebony color is not available, and the cars are considered throw-aways with 3-6 years life, since they want you to buy new ones. So most shops are unable to produce the exact colors. That said, anyone found an exact match part # for ebony interior plastic paint?

Raleigh TA: which SEM paint did you use for Ebony?

TIA!

go to your local automotive paint store. They should have interior panel dye. They can color match or get really close to a color if you show them a picture or have a part with the color on it, they should be able to use the color scanner on it. Again this would get you pretty close. And it will last a long long time... Also I am talking about the dye you put in a paint gun, not a rattle can.

I have never seen an automotive paint store, what are some chains? If you mean regular automotive stores, their selections are pretty limited, in my recent checking.
