Default Polished & painted calipers, what a week!

So, I had my baby in getting the shorties put on, & thought, what a great time to do this "mod"...so here are few pics through the process..

So, here's what I started with :

The upper halves after 600gt, I think :

After 1000gt & test polish :

1500gt & polished :

Now to the lower portions, here's just after getting up to 800gt :

Masked all the wear spots :

Ready to paint :

So, I needed somewhat of a clean-room, so here is my make-shift paint booth :

Here is the 2nd color coat while hangin' :

This after about the 3rd clear coat :

2000gt wet-sand, fine cut cleaner, & glaze polish :

& here's the finish :

Man, this is work. Was it worth it??? Hell YES!! Thank you to all the previous posts & stickies for the best guidance to get this done...

Pictures of the brakes themselves look good. New some better on car pics. Nice work though!

I'm painting mines exactly like that, silver caliper, black brackets with black camaro decal. No patience for polishing

Real nice, I have been debating if I should try the polish method or paint. About how long in all do you think it took you?

Took about 65 hours +/- a couple in all, but that is not counting removal & re-install of the calipers.

Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish & put a buffing wheel on my drill press..

Thanks everyone!
