Anyone have any tips for rusty brake dust on black powdercoated wheels

Default Anyone have any tips for rusty brake dust on black powdercoated wheels

This is driving me nuts guys Ive got a car show tomorrow and I cant get this rusty looking brown crap off my wheels

Anybody got any ideas?

Take off the wheels and start scrubbing and if you want it to stay off, spray some satin wheel paint on the back, it'll make it easier to clean next time.

I really like the turtle wheel spray works great!

when you redo your brakes get some Hawk HPS's - currenty ZERO brake dust as of 300 miles on my black rims

If you can't get it off some tire foam will probably hide it

they sell a wheel protectant now too,, i never tryed it,,, but the expensive brake pads create less dust,, but create more wear on the rotors. You sure its not just dirt from the road,, ive never seen rust dust on wheels before.

I can only assume its brake dust that has oxidized on the wheel. Those pics were after the pressure wash, simple green, and wheel cleaner

thats what i've done before but now i use mr clean's magic eraser, those things are great.
