Default Help with condensation on clear turn signals.

I have aftermarket clear turn signals. The passenger side keeps getting condensation build up when it rains or I was it. There a way to keep water from going into the turn signal. Keeps making my bulb go out.

Yep. What I did was before I put them in the car, I went around the edges where the seams are with clear silicone. That'll fix you right up

If you're getting them completely sealed up you shouldn't be getting any condensation

For some reason I thought water was running down the front bumper and getting in that way.

They're suppose to be vented so that water vapor can escape.
The factory ones have a little plastic/rubber cap over the vent to prevent excessive water entry.

I RTV'd the crap where you twist the bulb socket to the housing along with the stock rubber seal. No water or condensation so far.

Lets hope that Clemson can go 6-0 today, lol.

OP, I did the same that others have said with putting silicon on mine and that fixed mine.

Which ones did you get? There are two main types on ebay, one is utter cheap junk (been there done that) the others cost a tad bit more but are much better built.

Oh they did, i have the sunburn to prove it too. Good first half, now lets throw down in the second half too.

And just to make this post somewhat relevant, i did buy some VHT nightshade yesterday, so that should hide some of the condensation.

I think the brand is gts not sure. I already put my stockers back and I am in the process of trying to fix the clear markers.

I watched it from the house and they are looking real good this year. Now lets just hope they can do the same against Maryland next weekend.

For the original post, I've been thinking about putting my stock lights back in just to changed up the look from my black corners.

i put silicone around mine and the driver one actually got worse...the passenger one still gets a lil condensation but my driver one actually has a small amount of water stuck in it now. Gonna take em off and let the totally dry out then reseal them again i guess

I drilled a hole on the bottom near the front where the water collects. This will let the water escape and any condensation usually goes away fairly quickly with the heat from the bulbs. You could do this and silicone I guess, best of both worlds. I just just have the drilled hole and it works fine for me. If nothing else just go back to stock and VHT. Good luck with your mods.
