Default clear or smoked

Just trying to ge the general concensus on clear or smoked side markers on a black ta with future chrome wheels upgrade. Possible black with machined lip as well. Which one looks better for what combo? Pics are much appreciated. Thanks all

It's not a T/A but I have black corners on my Artic White Camaro with polished wheels and to me it looks good.

I have a black T/A I just put clear front and rear side markers on my car at the end of last summer. I think if you do smoked you have to watch what emblems you put on and your type of rims. I have chrome rims and silver ram air and pontiac emblems so I think the clear went better. Ill see if I can take a picture but I live in Ohio and the t/a hasn't seen the outside of the garage in about a month. The only thing I didn't care for on the clears were the inside seemed like they had to much chrome for me (only noticable at certain angles) and the bulbs that came with the rears seem pink or purple when it's dark and the lights on.

^I think your right it comes down to personal preference. Black cars could pull off either one. For me it was what I wanted to do on the car later and I thought clear would go better. But I'm thinking of sandblasting my old rims and having a buddy powdercoat them black for the heck of it. In that case I would rather have the smoked. Bob Im about an hour north of Columbus.

Smoked would look badass.

Do any of you have problems with your aftermarket side markers getting moisture in them? Mine do.
