Default Polished my exhaust today

The pipes were easy to polish up, however the flow master mufflers did not seem to respond to polish much. I tried 100 grit then 380 grit sand paper on them however they still don't pop like the pipes

I use meguiars aluminum polish. Two coats and they shine nicely especially at night from behind the car

Unless your muffler are 409 or 304stainless steel I don't think you will have much luck polishing them. Best bet is to give them a coat of HI-temp grill paint nd call it a day..

I like em. I've always liked the stock tips though and those kinda look like them except more refined

They kinda look like stock Trans Am tips. Polished up nice. On the mufflers, try 220-400-600 wetsnad with 1000 then polish. If they don't start shining up by the 600, don't bother lol.

I might try next weekend. they looked better after 380 grit but my arm was so tired from sanding and polishing i called it quits

I think the tips are ugly and thusly do not clean or polish them

Very nice man! Now you've convinced me to do this today lol

On a side note, I like how your car sits. What suspension work have you done?

Great job. Looks awesome.
Those tips do look like GMMP tips or imitation ones. They look good on your car.

It's riding on Strano springs and Monroe shocks. I highly recommend skipping the pro kit and just go right for Strano, they are a fitmer spring and ride much better than a pro kit

The exhaust is very tame and has a very deep tone. you wouldn't suspect the car is catless and has headers. The exhaust and suspension are the best pieces of the car and I have debated more than a time or two putting them on my camaro to replace the eibach springs and dumped true duals

Thank you for all of the compliments, I owned this car from 2005-09 and recently found it again and had to buy it back

yeah eibach is crap imo, i cut coils off my stock springs and they rode 10x better than the pro kit, pro kit looks badassthough but thats about it

You sir have a great eye. The bird arched a starter wire on the header this morning so I had to leave it there all day

Pretty cool that you found a car you once owned and bought it back. I've kinda thought about after me and my fiance' tie the knot and get finished with school, tying to find a car my dad had back when he was my age but I don't even know how or where to begin looking at.

Car looks good. A lot of times when you sale a car, they messed up and beat up on unless you sale it to someone who likes and cares for these cars.
