Default fitment of ascd hoods?

I am going to buy a new hood and found a great deal on ascd hoods. My body shop guy tells me that some fiberglass hoods arent that great of quality as far as fitment is concerned. Does anybody have these hoods and what is your opinion on them as far as quality and fitment? Thanks

Ruben

my ASCD hood fit great, the underside was not finished very well at all, but the exterior quality and fit was great. I spent quite a bit of time and money with fiberglass to make the underside look right (especially where the top shell bonds to the bottom shell around the hood latch.

my cowl fit great also.

like niphilli said, the underside leaves a little to be desired.

Fit and finish are great I have had 3 ASCD hoods (97 WS6, 99WS6, and 01 SS)

Here are a few pics I also spent a bit more to have the underside done up more.

This is what the underside looks like after it was first painted AS IS from ASCD I had the hood repainted about 2 months ago and had the underside all finished up real nice.

I have the 2 and 3/4" cowl and it fit pretty good and looks great. They are right about the inside though, it is kind of rough.

I really don't see nothing wrong with the underside

I just got one this past weekend and it was rough on the underside as well. I had to play with mine for an hour and a half to get it adjusted right. I am well satisfied with mine. I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. It is a very nice hood. Mine was already functional.
