LED lighting for front license plate emblem on 01 WS6
I saw this video online and was wondering if anyone can tell me the parts I need to get to get this setup and if it's difficult to do and how much it cost for all the materials needed. Thanks guys - Mike instalhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9rmk4gW6fM&feature=relatedl

I did it to mine...no big deal. I put a little switch in the engine bay so I flip it on at the cruise ins...I used a white decal on the front to tone down the light. Lots of people like it...

Anticop use to sell them. I bought one from him a year or so ago but have still yet to put it on.
The way he did it was clear plastic in the mold of the bird. Obviously you have to paint it.
The way he did it was use liquid electrical tape. Brush it over where you wanted the light to shine through at. Let it dry, then take a razor blade and cut it out. Then paint it. Then pull the dried tape off. He said that left the best edge and was easiest to work with.
I don't know what ever happened to him. Allegedly he screwed some people over on some parts or something. I stopped following that thread because there was too much drama. When I dealt with him he was cool.
Hope this helps some.

Also made own used clear plate from http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/ and instead of led board used flat peice of plexiglass and bought 3 led light boards on shelf at autozone (bout 2in square) and taped bird at outside edges and instead of sticker i used bird from emblempros (to go with theme)

You should have used red led bulbs on the bird to better match your hood lights and car. Good idea on lights in hood but I think would be better like others I have seen that lights up the entire vent area. Just attach them to the front of the air box or down below shining up to light it all up with a glow and not a direct spot light type look.
I also think maybe a better way to get a nicer even glow out of the bird is to cut the bird out and us clear plexiglass but put the led panel back against the inside of bumper so it spreads out more and not right up against plexiglass as that creates a spot and shadow effect more. This way the feathers would all glow but not be too much to not see detail and be one blur of light. Kind of like carving a pumpkin and putting a candle in the middle. It's not right up against the face of the pumpkin so it glows better.

Worked on glow old pics and was trying just to get pic.All on switches so might try to add red and maybe able to switch back/fourth (red in front also illegal i believe) would have to cut hole in bumper to move light back tho only bout inch or so space between cover. also have changed hood lights and turned around so more of glow except for red led purge lights (bursts). Was able to put lights lil farther back on rear filler.

THANKS!!!! Playing around with stuff and just trying to do some different things and all are on switches so not always on.Might try couple things this winter, seen leds for train scenes to simulate fire so might see how that looks on front bird and thinking of doing a lighted doorsill (like emblempros, sorta). But the one thing i have to do is find way to be able to switch over to another battery so i can leave on during car shows, they get overlooked alot. Really need to start "build" thread there is alot of lil things done to car

I bought the autozone LEDs too, but I've got 36 LEDs. I snaked them behind the filler and used some alum reflective tape just to make they shine. I'm going to do it to 01 WS6.
