Kool idea I like it, keep us posted. I don't see why you couldn't make it happen, its actually perfect b/c it covers all the ugly under the hood: battery, fuses, windshield washer, etc. In post #10(pic of ls2 bait's car) he pretty much has done it but didn't cover the windshield washer or battery/fuses for some reason.

I'm in the process of mass producing a version that I made in 2006 for G10 in Atlanta. I should have done this way back then... I'll keep everyone posted as to when this is done. Right now I'm working on the fitment issues with several different cars. It will fit some and not others due to the adjustments of headlights and the fitment of the body panels. Be patient with me and I'll make sure it's right. I'll have the LS1 Camaro ones first, then I'll move on to the LT1 cars and the LS1 Firebirds. Price is going to be in the ball park of the Fuel Rail Covers. PM me if interested. I was trying to have it perfect before I ever brought it up, but why the hell not... here's a teaser pic.
this is what I took to G10 in 2006. I didn't like the HUGE hole in front of the air lid...
So I recently have been working on enclosing it and making it look like this...
I've got a bit more fitting to do to make sure it's right (or as close as humanly possible) before I go into production. I'll be making a run of 30 at first to see if I can sell them and recoup some of the money it has cost me. If those sell I'll make more. I'm not a sponsor so you'll just have to find me. Sorry, but I just can't afford to sponsor.

That looks great, but my thought is, why can't we extend the cover up to the shock towers as well and cover the battery and the fuse boxes.
Plus for mine, I don't need the cutouts for the hook latch or handle as I've removed mine. I do need a cutout for the windsheild washer resevoir since I use it for my methanol / water injection resevoir.

As far as the wiper reservoir access - this thing takes just a second to remove and re-install. The purpose is to clean up the engine compartment... more holes defeats the purpose. Once painted to match (which I will offer) it pretty much makes the entire front disappear when you're looking at the engine. It takes all of that distraction away.

The clearance under the hood is so tight it would have to be a custom part for an individual car. TRUST ME! I've been working on getting my cover to be a "universal" fit for quite some time. The hood shuts just fine in my car and a few others but that's not the case with all of them. (YET )
