Vote, Opinions to stripe or not to stripe-camarossstripes3.jpg

Similar to this but without checkered

Also looking at blacking out the tear drop hood

Should I do it? stripes only? both?

anyone have pics of same color car with them.
Any opinions would appreciated thanks

your post is a little confusing, you say the car has a z28 hood, but the pics you posted and the rest of what you said seems to indicate you have an SS hood? so, which hood is on the car?

not a fan of any stripes on cars with the standard hood.

if you've got an SS hood, I say go for it.

^Agreed. Also, I prefer the look of the Berger style SS stripes, that end on the hood and deck lid, they don't go all of the way down the nose. Google "Berger Camaro" and you'll see what I mean.

Then no.

The stripes look much much better if done in the way of the old school first gen stripes that have a pin stripe around them and end before "wrapping" the vehicle (like a Mustang).

I agree to an extent, what do you mean by "wrapping"
Im still undecided they are about $110 if I dont like I can take off, but thats not pocket change for me

I posted the wrong picture the kit I would go with would go all the way to the bottom and not wrap around and end. like the 1st gen solid stripe with a pin stripe around that straight only curves would be around the hood.

In the rear im not sure I would want them to go all the way down.

Like I mentioned...look at the Berger style stripe, especially if you have a SS hood and you want an old school look...(ignore the hockey stripe, unless you really like that as well.)

agree with a couple others, I like the look of the stripes ending before the grill opening. unless you're going to also have it extend onto the grill like the anniversary cars

http://www.norcal-lsx.com/forum/show...ht=anniversary

these end at the grill (30th anni style)

http://3rdgendecals.com/98SS.htm

for the checkered flag 35th anni stripes, you can request that they end at the grill as well (it comes up in the options)
http://3rdgendecals.com/35th.htm

looks odd to me when the stripes roll into the grill area and then pick back up at the bottom. (like in the pic you posted)

The stripes should end before the grill and before the berger panel IMO.

If it goes onto the grill (the link posted is the first time I've seen that and god is that nasty looking) or below it, I find it to cheapen the look.

Just my opinions.

i agree. before grill and before burger... if youre set on going lower than the grill, dont put it on the grill itself, just the little part below the grill.
