pics of auto consoles with aftermarket shifters My car has a th350 trans with a hurst shifter...it currently has a 6spd console that has been cut to accomodate the shifter. I have had some people tell me that i can put in an auto console and the shifter will have a much cleaner look...currently have a hurst shifter and am wanting to go to a tci outlaw shifter...any pics of those with aftermarket shifters installed in factory consoles please post post up so i can get some ideas...thanks in advance

I cut the consule top up as minimal as possible, but shifted the shifter over a bit so the slot has extra spots ground away that aren't needed. When I find another top I will cut it even nicer. Also the shifter is moved over to the gear selector display side to minimize the stress on the cable. The blockoff plate on the other side is for the stock location. I plan of swapping that out for a nice piece of carbon fiber when I find one. It's up in neutral, don't have a pic of it in park but I angled the base so there is 1/4" clearance before it touched the ashtray lid. Looks really nice.
