Cool Polished/Chromed water pump photos

This was an idea given to me by the bling master himself, Steve1969LS1. You have to use a 97-98 LS1 water pump since those are the only two years that the pulley is removable.

I had the pump body polished, and the pulley and bolts chrome plated. Turned out sweet! My local chrome/polishing shop is bad ***, the entire job only cost me $180 and they did it in one day.

Once I get the supercharger and accessory pulleys installed, I'll know which size pulleys I need to buy, I want some billet ones instead of the plastic ones.

Looks great except the center of the "pulley," but I'm sure they couldnt do anything with that. Maybe you can paint it red? Time for some nice 12-point polished/chromed bolts, Tony.

well...now that I look at it, your timing cover and headers are bare basically, so it actually matches like that. Looks good.

Bright Metals of the Heights. From I-10 inside the loop, exit Heights blvd and go North until 11th street (from Heights blvd) and take a right. They are about a quarter mile down the road on the right. Small place, easy to miss.

I'm going to paint the center part of the pulley plain silver. I don't want any colors on the engine, just a big chunk of polished aluminum is all I want to see under the hood.

Agostino Racing used to sell them about 2 years ago. I bought them used and had them chromed. Not sure if they are still available anymore.

The valvecovers are welded aluminum sheetmetal. Welds were ground down a bit during the polishing phase, prior to chrome dipping them.
