Where can I get really nice stock seats?
I have a couple burns in my drivers seat. The rest of the interior is mint. Does anybody know where I can get an oem style seat? I've seen some advertised online selling the front two seats for 500 bucks. But I wonder what they look like. They need to be just like original or I dont want them. Or do I need to search for an original cloth seat in the right color in mint condition. I would also be willing to get upholstery and have them done too. Any help or direction would be great thanks.

BTW, money is not an issue here. This car deserves a perfect drivers seat. Just wondering if anyone here has bought a new seat and could tell me how original looking and nice it is.

My drivers seat has some flaws as well. Your best bet is eBay, Craigslist and junkyards. Sometimes you will see people on here posting cars that are being parted out in the FS section.
If you go with new upholstery, chances are it wont match the rear seats. I have been trying to find a tan T/A leather drivers seat for a while now with no luck. At this point, I might just wait and have all the seats recovered in real black leather, since GM uses that vinyl-leather crap.

There was a thread on here a while back where a guy took his seats out of his SS and actually bought, cut and sewed his own seats.
He took his stock seats apart and separated the pieces and drew the pattern on the fabric allowed a little extra room and put it all back together with new hog rings.
Looked amazing, I had it saved, just can't find it now.
I'm not sure what his total cost for materials were, but he saved a ton of money over buying new seats and having a shop do his. Wish I could find it, I've been searching for a few days now lol.

So I've decided to try and repair the burn marks. They are from a cigarette that fell on the seat and only slightly burned it in three spots. The rest of the interior is too nice to do anything else. It didn't burn holes through the seats, just a little into the fabric. So I'll shave some fabric hairs off, clean the burn marks and glue the hairs back in. It should be fine... just good enough to not notice if your not deliberatley looking for it.
