dyed my seats today.
so i purchased some graphite ta seats for my camaro but they had some small tears so i patched those up and sanded. as for dye i didnt want to choose the cheap route so i went with sem products. i wanted to make sure that my seats looked like the oem ebony so i went with a satin black instead of a gloss to avoid the "plastic cheap look" and the results are awesome but i need help uploading the pics lol can someone help? lol i dont have these installed yet because im waiting on my black carpet to come in, which i found a place that sells molded carpet for under $350 shipped with oem colors.

the first one is the one i bought and it had been dyed and it wore off. the second pic is the result i ended up with.the guy that dyed the first one use oreilly dye and let it cure for about 6 hours. mine was done with sem prep, sem sand free spray, and then sem satin black dye. 3 coats and waiting for 48hrs for it to cure since the humidity here is terrible right now. thanks for looking. since im switching all of my interior over to black this will be the only product i use form now on. going to go to town on my interior. lol any question feel free to ask.

That's why you have to let it cure. The previous owner dyed them with some stuff from oreillys and waited a few hours then it rubbed off. Ill wear cheap clothes for a while until I'm comfortable

I used sem products for my seats. I spent more time prepping but the seats are one color all the way through. I know because I fixed two small cuts with a flexible glue then smoothed it. Also sem has a prepping spray to apply after cleaning, then once it's dry they have a sand free adhesive spray the dye on the sand free adhesive for the dye to stick wait about 10 minutes between coats and I applied 7 coats. I painted the covers with a gloss black to add a little contrast but I'm not sure how I like it. I'll post more pics tomorrow.
