Default anyone ever put a trans am dash in a foxbody?

Im currently doing a turbo ls2 foxbody with a 80e. i wanted to use all the oem wiring and have all the gauges, so i was going to just try to mount the gauge cluster in. After looking at it a bit, i have a 2002 trans am dash and console that i measure and think will fit. that way all the wiring is just plug and go. has anyone ever done this before? any pictures?

If you can weld or have access to one, this shouldn't be to hard to tackle, and if your gonna do something like this being able to weld or knowing someone who can is essential. If the width and depth is do-able, it just a matter of welding mounting tabs and routing your wires. First things first though, get the Mustang dash out of the car, get the TA dash in to check things out and map out a plan.

I don't think your going to find someone on this site thats done this swap.

thanks. I have the dash sitting here. the trans am dash is roughly 3/4 of an inch wider than the foxbody. I would like to retain the gauges, cruise control, heat and air controls, all of that when i swap for the lq4/60e. I have looked everywhere for a picture or just someone who has done this, and i have not found a single thing on it. I think it will be a cool addition to the hermaphrodite mustang, and will post pics when it gets there soon. Its going to be a project getting it to work out, but ive seen sn95 dashes in foxes so why not a trans am dash if i have literally everything to make it work

Sounds like you need to cut .375" off each side, build caps for the cut off ends, and mount it up. Enough talking, get to cutting.
