paint pens work perfect
I just used Krylon spray paint (no primer, no adhesion promoter) on an intake cleaned well with Super Clean degreaser, the cut the tip of a paint pen flat with a razor. The trick is getting a balance of being wet enough it goes on smooth but not so wet it runs down the side of the letters.

^^^ That looks really good, but my favorite painted intakes are the ones where they are sanded down and painted and cleared to where they look like glass. I'm sure it takes a lot of extra work, but looks pretty damn good. There is a FAST 102 that Vengeance did like that for sale right now in the classified section.

At advance they actually have paint pens matched to the specific code of the paint on your car. Doing the quick search I did they had every color offered on an fbody in the pens if your looking for exact same paint. And I was a little tired doing mine. I ended up wiping it off and redoing it. Looks Alot better now.

I was just going for a stock like look which is pretty much the theme of my engine bay. It's not all up to "show" standards so I don't have to worry when working under the hood, but it's all intended to be clean and look like the engine came in the car but with some "pop" on things like the intake lettering and I painted the coils gunmetal and installed stainless allen cap screws on them.
It's common to overhear people say it does look factory at shows and cruise ins, so I guess I accomplished that haha
