Default Received my DDM tuning HID Projectors and Bulb kit!

I finally found the time to start my HID projector retrofit. Bought the DDM Tuning Bi-Xenon H1 Projectors V3 and the DDM HID Kit With Slim Ballast 55W. I paid roughly $135 after taxes. I know my headlights are really oxidized now but after the conversion I'll post more pics of it all cleaned up! Btw, DDM tuning is offering do a complete refund of the projectors only if you post up your order and link it back to them! So essentially I'm only paying for shipping cost, tax, and the hid bulb kit.

So I ran into a small problem. Has anyone ran the headlights like I have posted above? I just realized that the black plastic piece that houses the halo light seperates the headlight into 3 sections. As seen in the picture I believe this section is going to block the projector from working correctly. If anyone has done this retrofit for these headlights please let me know what you did to fix this area, otherwise I might be looking to trade for stock headlights.

There is a healthy debate on the quality and performance of these projectors so I'm def interested in the results. As for the black bezel piece, it looks fine from the picture. What do you think will interfere with the projector?

The black halo shroud blocks part of the low beam area and will definitely be a problem for the projector. Some people have removed that and left it out, but I don't remember what that looked like.

Pretty sure it is almost exactly the same as a stock headlight under that black shroud thing. You could just remove it.

Those look like they could be knock-off Morimoto projectors, meaning they might be decent if they copied them close enough or they could be crap if they failed miserably and made a cheapo copy

Let's be honest....a Flashlight would probably work better as headlights for these cars haha

So here are some updated pictures. These pictures show the projectors sitting flush in the housing. I really don't think I will be able to use this black shroud haha. Anyone want to trade for these headlights for stocks? Otherwise I'm just going to take the black piece out and do the whistler mod. 559-304-7172 if you're interested in these halo headlights.

Much better angle. Based on those pics, I agree you will need to ditch the plastic trim.

Here is the link for the projectors if anyone is interested. Like I said, all that is required is for you to link it back to DDM tuning and they'll refund you the projectors.
