Default wing west grill vs RK sport grill

I'm lookin to buy me a new grill here soon for my 2000 Z28. Obviously the wing west grill and the RK sport grill looks very similar. I like this grill over the SLP grills and I think billet grills in sports car look like ****. My questions are about both grills are .....
How did it fit?
Was you satisfied with the quality ?
What's the real difference between the two?
Which mesh is better?
What's the best way to install the grill?
How much did it cost to get it painted to match your car?
Thanks. All input is welcome.

RKSport here and when I ordered it, I asked them to make me one WITHOUT their logo and it was no problem.

You do have to drill 2 holes to mount the RKSport Grill, but it's no biggie and they supply everything you need including the plastic clips to cover the holes.

I put mine on around 10 years ago I think, and I only paid $50 to have it painted back then. However, 10 years of rock chips and it REALLY needs to be repainted again.

Paint prices vary drastically based on location, the shop you choose (level of quality), the paint brand and color used, etc... Take your car to some local shops around you and show them pics of the part and ask how much it'll be to paint it to match the car. That'll get you a real world number of what to expect.

Is instructions included with the Rk Sport grill? I don't care for the logo either.

I wonder is one thicker than the other also....

Also who have the best prices on these grills?

I ordered mine from them, they had a discount code also at the time so I got a really good deal on it. Only problem with mine is that since its carbon It's gonna take longer to ship.

Thats a heavy bastard, sucks that it goes on the front of the car where the weight hurts performance the most.

Got my WingsWest fitted up today. It's a nice piece. The packaging said 10 lbs but it doesn't feel that heavy. I'll weigh it. I put the first coat of black plastiDip on today. Gonna look sick!

Scotty, I can't stop looking at that pic LOL.
I have some ?????? For you tho.
Is you satisfied with the quality ?
Did you have to remove your bumper to install the grill?
How long did it take to install?

The quality of the grill is nice. The wire mesh IMO is junk. It was glued in and falling apart. I had to use a hot glue gun to properly secure the wire mesh. Then I had to drill two mounting holes through the sides of the grill and into the bumper support. I used 2 way tape and 2 door panel push pins to secure the grill to the car. It's SOLID now. It did NOT come with instructions.

I'd say it took me 20 mins to install but I had already pulled my old grill off to plastidip it over the summer. The old grill was a pain to get off. I found some tips on here. Basically just yank the old grill out carefully and you're all set.
