Default Dog hair...

I just bought a Camaro a few weeks ago and the interior is covered in dog hair, what do I do? I tried the roller sticky thing and it doesn't really work. This is driving me nuts.

Try rubber gloves and rub your hands over the dog hair and try to collect into a ball. They also make rubber gloves with "fingers" on them to help grab/agitate the dog hair to release from fabric.

One of the best things to use is a pumice or lava stone.

You can also try to use 2inch wide tape wrapped around your hand, sticky side out to try and remove it. I've used duct tape in the past, it's stickier than the rollers.

Duct tape is what my detail guys use when the hair is really tough to get up.

This is a good one.

Also if you take a damp cloth and drag it across the surface ( I'm assuming carpet) trying to collect all the hair into one area it will clump up and be easier to remove.

I have a Siberian husky so I feel your pain haha

Ok thanks guys, gonna pick up a pile of duct tape. I tried the rubber gloves but didn't seem to do much? Maybe I was doing it wrong. Yea, its in the carpet and doesn't want to leave lol.

I pulled out the back seats, mother of god, so much hair. Ill post pics later maybe. I'm pretty sure this car was the dog house for the previous owner, good thing it was cheap lol.

tell you the first thing I start with when cleaning a neglected car (and I did this to my dads old 03 Sierra 2500HD that had 10+ years of a German Shepherd shedding in it) is to open all the doors and hatches and take an electric leaf blower (in my case the motor section of a Rigid wet/dry vac, that detaches from the rest of the lid to become a blower) and just go to town blowing out anything I can (this will knock crap out of crevices you would never know was there to start with), then vacuum, then for whats left the damp cloth trick. I wish I had taken pics, that truck hadn't had the inside cleaned since it was NEW (I know this as fact since he bought it new). That truck was one of my biggest transformations, who knows when the last time the outside had been washed and the wheels had never been cleaned.

all I could find pictures of was a before and after on the wheels. But it gives you an Idea of the level of neglect it got.

i let my ex-wife's dog in my car twice 7 years ago. i'd been pulling hair out ever since trying everything mentioned above with no luck. sure i got a lot of it out, but i eventually ended up replacing the carpet. i thought i had it all out before, but after pulling the old carpet out, i hadn't even scratched the surface....

I use duct tape or packaging tape. I prefer the packaging tape.

I bought one of those brushes and use it on my larger wool area rug in the living room. Damn wife sheds so much hair it isn't even funny. When I get done going over the entire rug with that brush, it looks like I have a damn wig. I'm sure it would work just as well for a vehicle littered with human/dog/cat hair.

Well I tried the duct tape for a few minutes and it looks like its gonna work. Now I just need some TIME.

This is what I'm dealing with.

I have an attachment for my shop vac that works well. It's a head with a small brush inside that spins really fast. It came with my wife's "pet friendly" Hoover vacuum for the house. This is by far the best thing I've found.

Damn dog was all over that mother. You're going to need a few rolls of duct tape for that beast.

Holy crap!

I'm glad someone mentioned compressed air because I failed to. Compressed air is a huge time saver when doing interiors.

I agree w/ replacing the carpet. That hair in the headliner is going to be a PIA to get out. At least it's not that textured **** they put in the new Fords. F that.

Some progress...

I'm probably going to remove the center console, I see more damn hair between the seats and console that I cant really get to FML lol.

You aren't kidding, I thought it was the carpet that would suck. IDK how much better I can get the headliner unless i pluck each one by hand, which isn't happening lol.

Id rather drop the engine then do this ha.
