Default New fogs... 98-02 Camaro

So, I have always really hated the the fog lights on the camaro... The turn signlas seemed to have a better light out put. So, after countless hours and hours of researching i came across this.... http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/lig...rect-bolt.html
I had made this swap in my old TBSS and loved it! The change was night and day!
Essentially it changed the housing of the fog light. So the bulb instead of pointing up like in the camaro pointed outward towards the lense.
Here you can see the difference in the housings.....

But here is the problem, that seller was no longer making them! So after countless hours I came across this http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...tallation.html and notcied that the C5 fog lights were identical to ours except that the housing was different.. look above for reference..
What I noticed is that alot of c5 members loved that these fogs were so bright and that if you pointed them directly you didnt need your headlights....
So i bit the bullet and ordered the following parts:
GM part Number 10438855
GM part Number 10438856

I found out that they were a direct bolt on! which was awesome!
Look here:

These are 100% plug and play! NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED!

Here is the final pics...

Easiest mod i have ever done!

Enjoy!

Looks like it uses an 880 series bulb, but uses the 899 variant which is 37.5 watts. 885 is the 50W version. Seems from a quick search on a vette forum that it is a common bulb upgrade. Or being a projector you can throw 35W 880 HID in there also. NOT 50W HID, you'll burn stuff up and/or totally defeat the purpose of fog lights.

yes, because the light out put is from the entire bulb on the c5 housing where the camaro one faces up, its all about the positioning of the bulb.
