Default My Widened WS6 Wheels

Just sharing some pictures of my stock wheels that were widened by Eric Vaughn. He cuts off the back of the wheel and uses a new Budnik barrel to add the width. I think this is a better option than just using a donor wheel considering the price is the same. Wheels he does are also used on top speed runs on the salt flats and also only person that will widen the Super Snake wheels.

Nitto 555 G2 315's is what tires I put on them. I already installed an adjustable panhard bar and centered it up. In these pictures I'm running a hubcentric 1.25" adapter, it's the same size I ran on my old Firehawk with widened stock wheels. I think it looks a little funny on a white car, but have some 1" adapters which I'll install this weekend to try. I'm sure I'll have to beat wheel well for clearance, but I didn't have to with these. I also plan to get some ARP wheel studs to change out on the front so I can run a spacer up there to push them out. I'll post pictures as I do both in this thread and with an actual camera this time.

Ignore the black on the wheels. The previous owner I guess painted them for some reason. I still need to sit down and polish the wheels too. Since there's not many pictures out there of widened stock wheels, I'm loading this thread up with plenty of pictures.

very nice , ive been wanting to have this done to my ws6 wheels . How much did it cost in total. Also is their any way of running a spacer that slips onto the lug studs and running long studs? i dont like bolting a spacer up and then bolting the wheel to the spacer.

Real nice sleeper option. Don't forget before you go to polish them, if you haven't stripped the clear coat, youll be wasting your time.

Looks awesome. Stinks that the rears can't safely be deep dished on the speedlines.

It cost me $580 to get done including return shipping. I think it's possible to knock the studs out of the adapters and use them as spacers with longer wheels studs, but that'll be alot of load on those studs and not sure if I'd be comfortable doing it. On the flip side I ran them on the hawk for 4-5yrs without issue and I was pretty hard to that car.

I think these wheels are already stripped. I know with my stock wheels I could tell where the clear was chipping but there isn't a single spot on these. Any way to tell other than put some stripper on them and see what happens?

Came in expecting non speed lines. I am disappointed.

What was the cost before shipping? Wouldn't mind widening mine...

I considered doing my sportlines but opted for the speedlines, just personal preference really.

$250/wheel. It's the same cost and wait time as Weld Craft. Eric is a super nice guy to deal with and you can tell he cares about his work.

For kicks here's the tires I've been running around since I got the car on Jan 11th. Always took the truck when there was a chance of rain.

I would test with a little polish instead of putting stripper on first. If their already stripped I would think they would shine up nice.

$250 a wheel is better than running vette wheels and way more affordable than the high end stuff..

Plus, these wheels look so much better than Vette wheels. I hate Vette wheels on a WS6.
