Default Zaino Question

This is just a question about Zaino itself, not whether I should actually use it. Since Zaino refers to itself as a polish, it does still protect your car's paint as well as a normal wax right? When I see polish I think something that you put on WITH wax to make it even nicer, not instead of wax. So is Zaino all I need to make it look nice and protect it or do I need normal wax too?

Yes, Zaino is a sealant and contains no abrasives, so technically it isn't a "polish"

Zaino will protect your car better than a wax because of the fact it shines almost as well (the normal eye cannot tell the difference) and it can last in certian cases: months instead of 1-3 weeks like most waxes.

People with a very discriminating eye layer wax ontop of Zaino to get that extra depth and warmth.

FYI, polishes are used to abrasively correct the clear coat before protecting your paint (with a sealent or wax) to eliminate scratches, etching, stains and swirl marks.

That statement is just silly. Zaino protects your car because it shines???

Any wax should last at least one month. I have never heard of a wax lasting only a week...even Turtle Wax. You just lost all credibility in my book

Spend 3,000.00 on Zymol and you'll understand. Use Soveruan and you'll see a 2 week life span. Use P21S and you'll see a 2 week life span. Use Blitz and you'll see a 3 week life span. Use Meguiars and you'll see a 2-3 week shine before it starts to drop off. I speak from the work I've done, where do you get your info?

I didn't phrase myself well. I meant to say Zaino protects your car better than a wax and shines almost as well.

Take your 12 year old temper out of here.

Show me where my 12 yr. old temper is at?

I am going on 5 weeks with AIO/S100...I guess that's just some freak waxing accident.

P21S wax is the same as S100. I doubt it's going strong on 5 weeks. The hardcore detailing community doesnt agree with that statement nor do I............and I use it on my car (kept outside) and another garage kept car. It wont last 5 weeks and "keep going strong" even if it was garage kept BUT thats going to be something we dont agree on and I'm not here to make you think otherwise. I beleive what I see, maybe you got the special edition of S100.

I know that S100 and P21s are the same thing. Since you are a member of Autopia, why don't you do some searching...

Quit being an *** while you are at it.

I've had Zaino on my car for 4 years now, and I don't have to keep applying coats. All I do is apply some gloss enhancer every week or so, and it's back to "juicy"! Due to some people's narrow mindedness, I will refrain from posting any pics or links to pics.

The only narrow mindedness is coming from the Zainoholics club. What other products have you used on your car?

When are you going to take some pictures of it out in the direct sunlight?

Why do I need to do a search on Autopia? I already know.

Most Zaino users are not narrow minded, there are however; a few select who learn more about the world of detailing but still ignore the fact that there are products which work as well or better than Zaino.

Most people just don't know but are more than willing to listen.

Hey Joe DIESO and ZaneO, back into your corners and behave . . .

No offence but the way you two act, would not encourage me to use any of those products . . .

Bottom line, no product is the be all of all waxes/polishes find a product you like to work with and enjoy caring for your car.

Ok, can Zaino be put on your windows? Their customer rep. told me it could be, but I thought that putting wax on your windows was aVERY bad idea. The first time it rains and you use your wipers you just see a sludge appear, thoughts?

Yes it can! I put Zaino on my windows and watch it bead off, just like it does off of the paint!

Just be careful how many layers you put on, I found after two it starts to smear and the only way to get rid of it is to strip it.

I used to clay my windsheild, they use a cleaner than a sealent and I didn't even need the wipers above 50 mph.
