Are you talking about relocating the sharkfin antenna on top of the sail panel or putting the sharkfin antenna where the original antenna is now?

I was thinking about on top of the sail panel, just behind the middle of the t top frame. Why " please don't do it " ? ...........I think the power antenna, although it works, looks feeble.

I say go for it. Pick one up, take a few pics of it just sitting on top before you install. IF it looks like crap don't install it.

You can do what you want but have you considered a "shorty" antenna that replaces the factory antenna.

Sharkfin antennas look good on cars with a square shape.

Do you by chance have this on your car? How's the quality? I'm curious about it. Thanks!

I don't have it on my Firebird but I noticed you have a Camaro and it looks good on that car.

I simply chopped my factory antenna about half height, then dipped the end in black enamel paint to coat the cut end. Cost was free, looks 10x better, and I don't listen to the radio anyway!

Without an FM amplifier, you won't pick up **** with a shark fin.

Don't think a sharkfin would look good on these cars.

I have the factory power antenna on my T/A that raises only when the radio is engaged. Disappears when the engine is off.
Running stubbies is an unfortunate compromise. If I'd have designed the F body I would have hidden antenna wires within the hatch glass.
