Default Charcoal Stinger stripe installed on the SS...

Had my stinger stripe from ------ installed this morning. A friend of mine in town does vinyl work and installed it for me. I orderd them charcoal in color. I actually thought and hoped they would be a few shades darker. I'm going to put a coat of wax over it next weekend and see what that does...maybe with the wax/reflection it will blend in a little more. I did the vinyl since I could take it off if I didn't like it. I think it looks pretty sweet and will probably have it painted on later this year or early next year. I also got the stripe that goes on the hatch and spoiler but they both had creases in them when I recieved them, so I need to contact Jay and see if he can send me some replacements. Anyway....here da pics

does this wrap around the back of the "scoop"?
I've been trying to decide what to do. Can't stand plain white.
I like the 35th anniv stripes too, until you get up close and the fade of silver/black is too cheap looking... maybe in solid. What else did you consider?

The vinyl doesnt really wrap behind the scoop, if your talking about the part you would see from inside the car. There werent any other stripes that I really considered, I was going to get an SS hood for my '98 Z28, and do the same thing, but ended up getting an Ultra-Z hood instead. I've always kinda liked stuff that was noticable but subtle, which is why I picked the charcoal, though I thought and wish it was a little darker...well see how it looks after some wax and get the car cleaned up a bit

I eventually want to get it painted on, just did the vinyl to see how it would look and make sure I liked it and could live with it before it was permanently painted... but I think its pretty sweet so far so well see

I like it a lot - was thinking of getting the decal myself but I've heard that it is very hard to install without f`cking it up - how'd they manage to get it on so clean?

Looks great. That has to be the HARDEST freakin' decal to install with all the complex contours.

Thanks for the compliments! Can't wait for it to stop raining so I can see what it looks like in the sun. Should have the hatch/spoiler portion of the stripe done next weekend as well

lol, I got frustrated just looking at the decal...A friend of a friend here in town does alot of vinly work and was able to mess with it, and got it on the first try. I would have gotta real discouraged real quick if I had attempted it myself, but I dont have any patience so....good thing I didnt attempt it. If you buy form 3rdgen decals, jay includes two incase something does happen to the first one

Mako22, personally, Id put a silver one on your car, I think that would look pretty sweet. Go good with the blue, and compliment the clear corners and silver wheels
