Thumbs up New Product at MBA- LS1 Throttle Cable Cover

MBA is pleased to announce that the long awaited LS1 Throttle Cable
Cover is avialable. Our Cover is machined out of a solid block of aluminum, starts out as 10 lbs, and there is no equal for fit, finish and workmanship.
Pictures are available hereMBA Products and click on the what's new section. The Cover fits 98+ LS1 engines in the F-Car and is the piece that will put your car over the top at the next show. I'm going to offer a limited time introductory sale in a few days. I just wanted to let some people know it's ready and the sale will be announced shortly.

Well, their LT1 one is $142 (+ $42 more for the polished aluminum version) on their site so I wouldn't hold your breath about it being cheap. MBA stuff never is.

I'm not sure I like the way the throttle cover looks, either... But hey, to each his own...

Here's the pic from their website.

BTW, I do love the many other MBA pieces I have on my car.

Paul, I'm looking for the 98-02 polished Radiator shroud to put with my FIPK...I thought for sure you'd have it, but I don't see it...do you?

I think the piece looks nice by the way, but my TB cable bracket is already Chrome

That's the hardware that holds the peice onto the intake manifold.

The guys saying this item is too expensive have obviously never worked on a CNC milling machine or do not realize the amount of time it takes to design, toolpath, and mill out a block of aluminum that size. I work in the offshore industry and something that size/complexity would cost me about $800 from one of my vendors.

ditto Nine Ball's comments.

While it may be a $30 block of stock... your talking machine time + programming time, and the overhead of a $25,000-100,000++ machine

On the hardware that bolts it in place, I would have expected to see it bolt between the Throttle cable bracket, and the intake, or have it replace the throttle cable brackets. however, both of these options would have added dramatically to the cost, as they would require yet another fixturing in the cnc machine, and a second part with at least 3 fixturings to make putting it out of the reach of any average person.

I will have to look at some other pics, or see one in person before i decide what to do.

I just polished my shaner S2 yesterday getting ready for fall shows

Ryan
