...should I send it back in for warranty? This particular hood is a big POS. The one I had before this (Ultra-Z as well) was excellent. This new one doesn't fit and is cracking all over.

Do you think SLP will take it back because of a spider crack?

The other hood was damaged in an accident. I've had this hood for almost a year now.

Definately try and send it back. Doesnt hurt to try.

Where is the crack at? Above the hood strut? Mine has some issues, also. No cracks yet, but I can see little marks above the hood struts.

I have the hood strut marks as well. This crack is right in the middle of the hood, a little to the left of the centerline.

I would call them then. Never hurts to try. You pay that much for a hood, they should back it up somehow. My father-in-law used to work there, so I got a little better deal on it.
