opinions needed, ultra z vs ss hood hey guys, i needed some opinions from different people. do you guys like the ultra z hood or the ss hood more? the reason im asking is cuz im planning on gettin a 02 black z28 (hopefully if everything checks) and, i was wondering which you guys seem to like more, or would get if you were in my situation. TIA.

The VFN SS hood is PIMP. Take a look at it. The scoop is much taller than a stock ss hood. Thats prolly the one I will get. Plus at 25lbs for a bolton it is light.

Everyone i know with the Ultra Z hood says its much more functional then the SS because of its location. Trus there are a ton of SS hoods out there but as far as looks I like them better the Ultra Z looks like a Elephant or something. I would go with a cowl if you do not care about the bit of forced air you get.

both hoods are nice. but one advantage of the ultra z hood in my opinion is HP. if you got a cold air kit like the K&N fipk or the volant cold air system, the ultra z hood is perfect for them.

If you want to stay original go with the SS hood. If you want to be different go with the Ultra Z Hood. The Ultra hood gives you the ram air effect of the Ws6 hood.
