Well a car with 1996 paint might be hard to match with touch up paint. How bad are the scratches?

If you can feel the scratches with your thumbnail, you won't be able to fix them. Otherwise, a little elbow grease and some rubbing compound will do the trick.

Pretty bad, and big...I've been looking at new bumper covers on ebay and other places, but then I'd have to get it painted. I just need a temp fix.

You might want to try a junkyard for a used cover.

It would seem to be your cheapest way out, the cost to refinish the rear bumper cover would most likely be more expensive. It might not match perfectly but a repaint probably wouldn't either . Gotta be a wrecked white F-body somewhere.

So, what about that "Scratch Fix" 2 n' 1 paint? (Suposed to match factory paint) I see them at autozone and such, but don't know if they work. I wanted to get black paint specific to my car, but all they offered was "Universal Black". I do know they have Arctic White and other GM white paints. Does anybody know what I should do about scratches on a black car....that aren't too bad?

I already looked everywhere, and even though the manufacturer makes Arctic White, NOBODY in town carries that color....that was what I was going to try first off...and you can't order it from the website, you have to ask a carrier to get that specific color...

Duplicolor.com sales the touchup paint that you're looking for. Just make sure that these aren't spider cracks..

I've looked on that site, its the one I was talking about, and you can only get it from a distributor such as Auto Zone and so forth. They don't sell it off the website unless they've updated it very recently...
