Paint on clear coat

Exclamation Paint on clear coat

My friend used some of the spray touch up paint on his door. It fixed the scratches but now you can see a big dull spot where he painted and it looks like its just sitting on the clearcoat. Can he just buff it out or what? Thanks for the help!

uuhhhhh, why was he using spray paint to fix scratches?

hahaha yeaaaaaa.... that's like putting out a match with a blanket . At any rate, i'm sure some rubbing compound, then wax, and buff could take that right out.

You can polished it out, use something like 3M Finesse-it II.

some people told me using a clay bar would get it off. We dont really have the time to clay bar it so is there any specific polish or cleaner that would get it off w/out harming the paint? thanks for the replies!

A claybar is much quicker than using a polish.

It's hard to say without seeing it. It may take a while to figure out the best process.
