My first vinyl stripe attempt (non GM car)
Sorry guys this ain't an LS1 car, but it's my little brother's '92 5.0
I've had experience with vinyl at work making signs internally for several years now, so I had easy access to the vinyl. I just cut the white stripes to the width we wanted (7" each). I made them in roughly 5' sections. A lot of people specify a water/soap solution to help in applying the stripes, but I prefer just plain water. I used water, a homemade sqeegee (a broken off piece from a 45 degree triangle), and my Mother's hair dryer. The dryer came in especially handy on the nose and tail where the body panels were curving both directions. The vinyl stretched nicely when heated My brother added the false scoop from an earlier fox-body Mustang, so that broke up the plain flat stripes on the hood nicely. The space between the stripes ended up being 2 1/4" (to clear the hatch lock). Maybe my next project will be a 'bird or a Camaro? Honestly, I'm not sure I want to do that type of job again I did these stripes back in October, and so far they're holding up very nicely.

Thanks guys for all the compliments.....
I didn't mention that I also did the black stripe that runs around the car and the white inlays for the Mustang GT type. The black stripe is absent from the rear shot....I hadn't finished the car up at that point.
