Default Billet grille modified.......

I live in Califas and yes, I have to have the liscense plate up front. So here's what I'am doing with my billet grille I cut a rectanglur piece off the middle of the billet grille and as soon as the rain is over I will install the grille. I have seen some cars in Cali with the front plates to one side or the other and I figure why not put it in the middle so I'am and holding it in place it looked good. A rotorzip was very helpful in this project. I just hope I don't have to take off the front fascia when installing the grille.

sounds good man. Are they really strict about that sort of thing in Cali? I have heard from a lot of people on here from Tex and NY who said that they keep theirs off and never run into trouble. I'm glad we don't have to have a front plate here in Oklahoma.

Why don't you just zip-tie it to the grille?

Because the middle of the billet grille is not flat, so I cut a rectangular piece from the middle so the liscense can sit flat.

I installed the grille and no need to remove the front fascia at all, I just used screws to hold it to the old grille. I didn't paint the original grille since I have to make some adjustments and since I used phillps screws I can paint it at a later time. I will post pictures soon. Billet grille looks good, cleaned up the front.

Heres some pictures. I would have taken better pictures but I have yet to replace my digital camera so I had my brother take a few pictures. The pictures dont tell the story but the grille looks better in person. And yes, I have been told I messed up the grille with the liscense plate but I don't want to give the cops an excuse to pull me over. And I still haven't gotten around to postition the liscence plate correctly and touch up the grille, but here are the pics.

only reason you have to have a front plate is so cops can target you more easily with laser, and get ur tags more easily if you are speeding towards them.
